To all the people who are idiots telling that the genre is changed and he doesn't act because he has unlimited power and all.

Understand one thing,
The seal he had in season one was weaker than the one season 2,
The season 2 seal is 10 times stronger
And,
The plot is that his emotion have been suppressed so that his powers won't run rampant
Because if he feels any strong emotions the world will basically be destroyed in a single instance.
That's why he can't express his love because, that feeling has been suppressed to its minimum
He can feel it but barely it just for him
The love emotion is just like having happy feeling

There is nothing wrong with the season and the stroy but there is something wrong with people who misunderstood the whole damn plot and it pretty damn simple plot

Yep I totally agree with you. Also Wang Ling's emotions are running wild. They're way stronger than season 1. As you said that the seal is 10x stronger than the last one, eventhough the seal is 10x stronger Ling really is showing more and more emotions. Atleast way more than season 1. Mostly when he is with Sun Rong. Infact people should be happy that he is showing strong emotions(as compared to season 1) eventhough the seal is supposed to be 10x stronger.

But this season being worse is not cuz of Ling's emotional development(atleast in my opinion), it is mostly cuz of the weak build up of episodes. There is literally no plot. Ling is an OP character and we know he can do anything but there should be atleast a build up to show now overpowered he is.

Now for me I'm fine with as it is too cuz I love this series. Also the title is literally "Daily life of immortal king" so I don't mind even if they show random stuff. The plot thing is what mostly fans want and also those people who really can't figure out that it is a type of gag anime. I've seen many reviews on this season and mostly people complained about this. Also the flow of the story of season 1 was really different from season 2, fans wanted a season of the same pace and same flow as season 1 but they got something different. Ofcourse people are gonna complain but they should respect the studio who work so hard to animate it.

That is correct, but the reason why we watch this show is because Wang Ling is an OP character, and it's more or less what the series has built for us, so even if it makes sense, it doesn't change the fact that it's a lot worse than Season 1, because again, we're not here for these sorts of stuff and plot.

Besides, even if the seal is 10x stronger, Wang Ling should still be able to easily solve the problems we've been shown because his power is that overwhelming.

Probably an unpopular opinion but they should have just stayed at the end of the world and go on a journey to naturally find a way to restore time. Don't want to be late about this but, don't decide collectively that we are all here for the reason you stated I honestly love this donghua and its "sorts of stuff and plot"as you mentioned, Ive read the manhwa and this donghua has everything I wanted to see more of in the manhwa. Sure he seems to be a tad bit weaker what with him not having his vision shield spell, his cloning, his golden light, teleportation, etc(though honestly he may have it but its not being shown as of yet). Either way this story is excellent I love everything thats been happening so far. Also yes he is that overwhelmingly mighty but perhaps he doesnt wanna show it yet or use that amount of spiritual power to do it since the worlds spiritual force dropped significantly from him doing so before. My bottom line is that this isn't just about him being OP its more than that and I don't think theres a problem with that at all. Being OP and having fight scenes left and right is cool and all but,
being OP and having this sort of impactful plot is even better. I believe both of these seasons were spectacular and no one can change my opinion on that.

I watched this same reason any other person watch trash sequels, which are common. To follow the series because they support and love it, not necessarily but still, I was simply disappointed at what has become of this.

If you watched the first season you would know this series isnt heavily "plot oriented", so expecting it or complaining about something that wasn't really supposed to be present in the first place is kinda weird. This show is mainly comedy based, and still retains that to the max.

Also considering how often I see you in the comments of other shows I doubt you follow the written material that closely or have read it at all.

I just saw this, been so long so feel free to ignore it. But I don't really get what you mean by season 1 not being "plot oriented" when it followed an original storyline relative to the WN which basically is just slapstick comedy and an OP character dealing with situations?

Season 1 was so epic and it had so much plot, so if we were just to compare simply plot, then season 2 is still a huge disappointment but is closer to how the WN did things.

Well even if tactics of occupying the altars can outmatch one strong man, it still doesn't dismiss the possibility of Ling kicking everyone's ass and afterwards occupying everything.

Pretty interesting series because of Wang Ling especially. But what happened about the whole Wang Ling creating another world thing lost me tbh though it is a fascinating idea.

Also wished there were more actual development between Wang Ling and Sun Rong because I feel like for Wang Ling especially he suddenly had this deep love for Sun Rong l so I was like… okay lol

But it’s an interesting concept , the whole worldview and concept of the characters, the powers, the school it’s all very interesting.

yes and also even if his emotions weren't suppressed if he just instantly fixed all problems the story would become boring which the correct fix for this would be to give more shine to the side characters cuz even in one punch man he doesn't fight everything cuz he would just kill everything in one punch and that would be lame but I think they're just trying to get a slice of life genre going right now and focus more on the story which I get can be a little boring at first especially when the episodes are limited but it's still pretty good

3. It's also completely up to the distributors and producers to decide what happens to the show, and if anything changes. Animated series similar to this, and most anime are only meant to promote the written series or merchandise, the fact we are getting anything at all that has somewhat decent quality is something to appreciate. Like hey, we here, we watch the shows, have opinions on them and it can be positive or negative, but just blindly appreciating or hating anything ain't just right... Just cuz some people worked on something doesn't necessarily mean it should be praised for... Not everyone can stay shut on if they don't like stuff, they speak out on that and they do that cuz they can...

They constantly complain and continue to watch a show they say sucks, even though the premise of this show as a whole was never supposed to be fully based around the written material. This show is just content for fans who liked the written material or the comedy, its not supposed to have a deep underlying story line. The fact people continue to watch and complain makes my brain hurt since they could easily stop and go watch any other show thats made to have a deep story line, action, etc.

Revisiting a past comment, several guys complain about "no action" even though the MC legit had a fight with a demon where he blew up an asteroid catapulting towards earth. Several people also complain about how the MC is now "too OP", even though thats also the main point of this show, legit in the name.

I may hate when shows kill off characters I love, or have sad endings, but I never stoop as low as to take time out of my day to go into the comments and make a comment about whoever made this "doesnt know how to do their job". Not everything is gonna go my way, and its the same for everyone else. People need to accept that.

Personally I also wish there was more story, or Wang showed more "emotion", but I can still just be happy that the written material is getting an adaption that has great animation, humor, and banger OPs and EDs at all. More often then not, Animes are made to advertise for the written material, so getting something half decent or two seasons at all should be appreciated.

This anime started with a banger ngl but i wont say that im staring to hate it bec of the romance and the relation development of wang and sun Im really enjoying it but the coldness of wang im really missing it but its a great anime. I will probably watch season 3 also overall it a good anime!

This season hasn't been as much fun as S1. So like OPM S2 and Saiki K reawakened it's 3 shows about op characters that stepped down in quality in sequel seasons. None of them are bad or anything but the decline of really good shows is hard not to notice because you'll always compare a show to it's peak. Even if the next couple of episodes are really good I think overall it's still a step down from S1 which for me was like 9.5/10 this one so far is like a 7.

One Punch man's season 3 can be great if it is well animated. If they complete the monster association arc and the fight between Saitama and Garou

Trust its not the full use of displaying his OPness, but the lack of depth to the story this season is already over with, and nothing really grasp my attention. I get the romance building up between them " heck I was all for it in S1 ", but the story is all over the place here Trust I understand the story so far, just the story plot a lil weak here. I know how much of a power house Wang Lang is didn't really need to show him fully emotional like in S1. Hopefully the story plot with the demon lord comes in play next season.

Feeling sorry for this show. It started out great but when it started to focus more on romance the uniqueness of this show vanished.
Season 1 was great so I would say that s2 episode 1 was good too, from there it started to fall down so low that I don't even feel watching the next episodes.

What they needed to do was to continue the s1 story. Despite having this much power he does nothing to fix the world or the problems in it. He could use a fake identity like batman if that's the issue. Over all I don't like s2 plot.

Season 1 had some end credit scene where Wang ling had green eyes, some time fantasy stuff could have been incorporated (like the occurrence of 2 Wang ling from past and present idk). Since s1 the time was f**ked up they could make a plot on shit that happened.
